The End of Bukhara Biennial 2025

Yesterday, November 23, was the final day of the inaugural Bukhara Biennale. What once began as an idea has grown into months of conversations, meetings, and shared moments in the holy city. Thank you to everyone who walked the courtyards, climbed the steps of the madrasa, listened, tasted, asked questions, created, and connected. Even though the doors are closed, the spirit of the Biennale lives on. It lives on in the memories taken home, the friendships forged, and the quiet transformation that occurs when art meets place, and place meets world.

Uzbekistan joins the International Code for the Protection of Tourists

     On 24 February 2025, Uzbekistan officially became a participant in the International Code for the Protection of Tourists, developed by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This decision underscores the country's commitment to upholding high international standards in tourism and ensuring the rights of travelers. Joining the Code marks an important milestone in the ongoing development of Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, which has been gaining international recognition in recent years. Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov emphasized the significance of this step, stating, "The International Code for the Protection of Tourists is a key instrument in restoring trust in travel in the post-pandemic period.
